The path of BTC from birth to the present day

Let’s take a brief tour into the history of the very first and most popular cryptocurrency!

⏳ The history of Bitcoin began on the 31st of October 2008, when Satoshi Nakamoto published the project’s white paper. Later, in the winter of 2009, the first digital coins worth $0 appeared on the network, and the first transaction was made.

🍕 In 2010, Bitcoin was first used as a means of payment: developer Laszlo Hanyecz bought two large pizzas for 10 000 BTC at the rate of $0.0025.

📈 In the following years, the interest in cryptocurrency grew more and more. A real boom occurred in 2017 when people started to buy digital money massively, which provoked a significant increase in their rate.

💸 In 2021, the price of BTC reached its historic high of $68 000, and in El Salvador, the coin was officially recognized as a means of payment.
