Rules of Participation in the “Goodcode” Promotion

WhiteBIT is the Organizer of the “Goodcode” Promotion.

The Promotion is held to encourage active WB Network community.

The territory of the Promotion is all countries in the world except for the following: Afghanistan, Ambazonia, American Samoa, Belarus, Canada, temporarily occupied territories of Georgia, Territory of Guam, Iran, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kosovo, Libya, Nicaragua, the Northern Mariana Islands, State of Palestine, Puerto Rico, Russian Federation, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tobago, Transnistria, Trinidad, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, USA, temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, Venezuela, U.S. Virgin Islands, Western Sahara, Yemen, or any other country or region that is the subject of comprehensive country-wide or region-wide economic sanctions by the United States and the European Union.

It is the responsibility of Participants to ensure that their participation is not prohibited or restricted by the laws or regulations of their jurisdiction. The Organizer reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Participants and may request proof of residency or location if necessary.

Official rules of the Promotion

The Promotion is not a game of chance, a lottery, a service in the field of gambling business or a contest. The Promotion is not a contract, an undertaking, a warranty, a technical task, a public offer, these Rules are not a public promise of reward. Information about the Promotion is provided on the basis of advertising rights.

The Promotion takes effect from the date of publication of there Rules and continues indefinitely, unless is terminated by the Organizer. Nothing contained herein limits the Organizer’s right to encourage the participants of other or familiar to the Promotion events.

Eligible Participant of the Promotion is an adult citizen of non-banned countries (i.e., other than the above), or other person legally residing in the territory of such countries. Participants who are employees, representatives, or agents of the Organizer, or their relatives (up to the second degree of kinship), are ineligible to participate in the Promotion. If, when awarding the Prize, it is determined that Participants do not meet the eligibility criteria outlined in these Rules, they will not be entitled to receive the Prize.

In order to become the Participant, a person should:

  • Have registered WB Soul;
  • Create/develop the website, algorithm, smart-contract or other solution that is unique, useful, publicly available on the free-access basis, resolve tasks related to WB Network, and has become popular in the WhiteBIT community (“Project”);
  • Proof the Project ownership upon the Organizer’s request;
  • The Project is legal and does not breach third party rights;
  • Be eligible under these Rules;
  • Be in compliance with WB Soul Ecosystem Terms available on the link https://whitebit.com/wb-soul/terms.

Nothing herein grants the Participant the right to disassemble, decompile, reverse-engineer, copy, bug fix, correct, update, transfer, broadcast or create derivative based on the WB Network, nor otherwise take express action to develop the equivalent of the WB Network.

As the Promotion is not a technical task, request, order, or any other contractual relations, the required level of popularity, usefulness, availability, and uniqueness in order to identify the Participant and the Participant’s Project as the Winner of the Promotion is determined solely by the Organizer regarding the each separate Project. The term for the identification whether the Project is the Winner or not, is established solely by the Organizer.

Prize

The Winners are determined solely by the Organizer according to the terms and conditions set herein and parameters solely determined by the Organizer. The Promotion has no Winners limit.

The Winners are attributed with Soulbound Token “Goodcode!” (“Prize”).

A Prize is received for free and attributed to the Winner’s WB Soul. The Prize cannot be replaced. Winners eligible to receive the Prize cannot transfer the rights to receive the Prize to any third parties. The Winners have no right to demand any other compensation from the Organizer. The Organizers do not bear any warranty obligations for the Prize received within the framework of this Promotion and under the conditions specified in these Rules.

One Winner can only win one Prize.

The Organizer does not compensate for the additional expenses of the Winner related to the receipt of the Prize. Taxation of the income of the Winner who received the Prize is carried out in accordance with the current legislation and solely by the Winner.

Nothing in these Rules should be construed as the transfer of ownership, intellectual rights, or other material right to the Project from the Participant to Organizer.

In case of non-receipt of the Prize, or in case of any other difficulties, the Winner must contact online support at https://whitebit.com or by email at support@whitebit.com. If the Winner does not contact the support within a week from the expected date of receiving the Prize, including on the issues of not receiving the Prize, the Winner loses the right to receive it.

At the same time, by participating in the Promotion, Participants of the Promotion confirm their consent to using their surnames and first names, links to Project without financial compensation, as well as their agreement to comply with other Rules of the Promotion. The Winner confirms their agreement to provide advertising interviews about participation in the Promotion in the media, particularly on radio and television, and to be photographed for producing graphic materials without paying them any monetary compensation. All exclusive intellectual property rights to such interviews and photographs will belong to the Organizer.

Disclaimer

The Participant agrees that these Rules are not the primary basis for any decision to develop, plan, start, initiate or create any Project or other feature. As well, creating the Project, the participant does not rely on this Promotion or expect to receive any Prize.

The Participant is solely responsible for any losses or expenses incurred while developing the Project or any connected expenses.

The Organizer is not liable for any losses or damage arising out of any existence, functionality, or other activity of the Project. The Organizer in any case will not compensate for such losses to third parties or Participant.

Modification

The Organizer reserves the right to amend or modify the Rules of Participation in the “Goodcode” Promotion. In the event of any such changes, information regarding the modifications will be provided on the WhiteBIT website and the Organizer’s official social media platforms. With each subsequent participation in the Promotion, the Participant shall familiarize himself/herself with a new version of the Rules. Continued participation in the Promotion, will mean the Participant’s acceptance of the terms and conditions of a new version of the Rules.

The Organizer does not enter into disputes that may arise between Participants of the Promotion. In situations that allow ambiguous interpretations of these Rules and/or issues not regulated by these Rules, the Organizer of the Promotion makes the final decision in accordance with the requirements of the current legislation. At the same time, the Organizer’s decision is final and is not subject to appeal.
