Women in crypto

Blockchain technology allows bypassing traditional biased financial systems. In the crypto ecosystem, women take the reins in investment management or software companies and contribute to the area’s development. Today, we will speak about influential females in crypto.

Meltem Demirors is Chief Strategy Officer of CoinShares, the leading digital asset manager, crypto advisor, and advocate. She specializes in portfolio management and network development. Meltem runs a weekly podcast and hosts the Crypto Springs conference in Palm Springs.

Elizabeth Stark is the co-founder and CEO of Lightning Labs, a network client developed to enhance the Bitcoin network. She is a blockchain entrepreneur, educator, and open-internet advocate. Elizabeth is a fellow at Coin Center and an advisor at Chia.

Cathie Wood is the CEO and Chief Investment Officer at ARK Invest, a company that focuses on innovation and offers long-term growth investment solutions in the public markets. Cathie has been a long-time advocate of blockchain technology and Bitcoin.

Lyn Alden is the Founder of Lyn Alden Investment Strategy. She has been conducting investment research for businesses and private persons for more than 15 years. Lyn is a Bitcoin OG (cryptocurrency trader or investor that is still around after the 2013–14 Bitcoin bear market).

Caitlin Long has supported Bitcoin and blockchain technology since 2012. She was the co-founder of Wyoming Blockchain Coalition. Today, Caitlin is the chairman of WyoHackathon, a celebratory blockchain event for developers, entrepreneurs, and established companies.

Galia Benartzi is a serial technology entrepreneur. She is a co-founder of the Bancor Protocol and the CEO of the Founder at Particle Code. Galia has been building software startups since 2005.

Laura Shin is a crypto and blockchain journalist. She became one of the first to cover blockchain-related topics while working as a reporter for Newsweek, a technical writer for the Wall Street Journal, and a producer at The New York Times.

Kathleen Breitman is one of the most influential women in crypto. She’s a co-founder of Tezos, a blockchain-based smart contract platform. Kathleen worked at Accenture, Bridgewater Associates, and The Wall Street Journal.

Kelly Loeffler is an American businesswoman and politician who served as a United States senator for Georgia from 2020 to 2021. She entered crypto when she became the CEO of Bakkt, the first digital asset ecosystem to offer CFTC-approved ‘physical’ Bitcoin futures.

Jinglan Wang is the Co-Founder & CEO of Optimism PB and the Optimistic Virtual Machine – products designed to scale the Ethereum network. She worked as a blockchain product manager at Nasdaq. Jinglan also co-founded the trade financing startup Eximchain.

Sally Eaves has deep experience as a CTO, practicing professor of FinTech, and a professor in advanced technologies. She specializes in AI, FinTech, Blockchain, and 5G disciplines. Sally founded Aspirational Futures to promote inclusion and diversity in the technology sphere.

Jaime Leverton is a respected technology executive. She has been chief executive of the Canadian Bitcoin miner Hut 8 Mining since December. Jaime was also an executive at National Bank, BlackBerry, Bell Canada, and IBM Canada.

Tess Rinearson is a blockchain software developer. Currently, she’s on the engineering team at Chain. Previously, Tess worked as a full-stack engineer at Medium. The platform’s social graph service was her responsibility.

Alena Vranova is the co-Founder and former CEO of SatoshiLabs, a company that specializes in developing crypto wallets and related software. She created the design of the TREZOR hardware wallet. Alena is also an author. Check her work called The Little Bitcoin Book.

Rachel Wolfson is a journalist and a public speaker. She also hosts a podcast. Rachel entered crypto in 2017. Currently, she’s working on her book about blockchain.

Tiffany Hayden is an expert on Ripple’s XRP protocol, a full-time blogger, and an independent adviser that helps professionals & organizations in the finance industry to understand Blockchain technology. Hayden is also the community manager for Edge.

Jen Greyson is the founder of the Blockchain Sisterhood and CEO/Founder of CO.CO — the “Airbnb” of office space. Before joining the cryptocurrency/blockchain community, Jen managed a multi-million dollar life insurance company.

Connie Gallippi has founded BitGive, the first government-recognized Bitcoin non-profit, and a pioneer organization, leveraging Bitcoin and Blockchain technology via practical applications for humanitarian work in the developing world.

Elizabeth Rossiello is the CEO and Founder of AZA Finance. The company is a part of a small group of growth-stage businesses that are truly pan-African. Rossiello is a founding member of the World Economic Forum’s Future Council on Blockchain.

Rhian Lewis is a software engineer and co-developer of altcoin portfolio tracker, CountMyCrypto. She is also the co-host of London Bitcoin Women. Rhian has a B.Sc. in Economics from UCL and is a former digital journalist at thetimes.co.uk.
