What is Tronscan and How Can You Use it

One of the key features of cryptocurrencies that attract the attention of millions of users worldwide is the transparency of transactions. Everyone can trace the movement of funds and verify their authenticity, which makes blockchain technology unique and reliable. Each cryptocurrency has its blockchain observer, a platform that helps see all transactions within the network. In this article, we will talk about Tron Scan, a Web3 application that allows you to track and analyze all transactions on the Tron network.

What Is TronScan Used For?

TronScan is a tool for verifying transactions, blocks, and accounts and a platform with advanced features for users and developers. In addition to its core features, TronScan allows you to create token transfer and staking accounts. It offers a dedicated section for developers with access to efficient API, support, and other tools that encourage participation in the Tron ecosystem.

In addition to the core features, TronScan provides the ability to manage the wallet via an integrated web wallet, create tokens, deploy contracts, interact with decentralized applications (dapps), and participate in the governance process via voting.

Features of Tron Scan

TronScan functionality can be divided into several key aspects:

  • Transaction Tracking and Asset Monitoring. Users can view detailed information about transactions on the Tron network, including time, amount, sender and recipient addresses, and transaction confirmation status. You can also track and manage your assets on the Tron network and get an up-to-date account and token information.
  • Blockchain View. TronScan provides access to block history, including information about all transactions in each block and block details (creation time, number of transactions, and other parameters).
  • Wallet Management. Users can manage their accounts, check balances, view transaction history, and manage account-related assets.
  • Interaction with Tronscan smart contract. TronScan allows you to explore smart contracts hosted on the Tron network, view their code, and monitor contract fulfillment.
  • Token Analysis. The platform provides information about all tokens created based on the Tron network (TRC-10, TRC-20), with the ability to track their movement and analyze key data.

How to Use Tronscan?

On the main page, we can see the price and market value of TRX, the number of wallets and transactions on TRON, the value of assets locked in all TRON protocols (TVL, total value locked), and much more. You can view all of these metrics in real-time. Moving through the menu bar, you can get data about nodes, blocks, accounts, contracts, and transactions.

In the “Accounts” section, you can view the total number of accounts, TRX holders, and active wallets. The “more” button in the “Number of Accounts” section opens a graph with the growth trend of all accounts on Tron. In the “TRX Holders” section, a graph of the changing number of TRX accounts is available, which helps evaluate the Tron ecosystem’s development. You can also view the most active wallets, their assets and transactions, which is useful for traders and investors tracking successful portfolio management strategies.

Checking Tron Blockchain Transactions

Suppose you made a Tron (TRX) transfer and want to check if the coins have arrived or understand why the money is not being sent. To do this, copy Tronscan TxID and paste it into the Tronscan search bar. For example, let’s take a random transaction from the tronscan wallet address of Justin Sun, one of the crypto-whales and founder of the Tron Foundation.

  1. Let’s copy the hash: de710d48372c2987fd8723584170d8c7e09b64b56882bed1b505ae39a6bf3801
  2. Put in a search on the tron scan site and get the transaction details

The screenshot shows that the block explorer shows information about how much TRX was transferred, when, to which wallet, and, most importantly, the transaction’s status. In addition, we can check the wallet to which TRX was sent. To do this, open TKHu8DgWJ3gy4Dpb1KjfWUn9mN3bX5FkCG

Tronscan provides information about the total number of assets on the wallet, shows available tokens, wallet creation date, last activity time and many other details.

Staking and Voting on Tronscan

Another unique feature of TronScan is to participate in managing the Tronscan Network through TRX staking and voting for Super Representatives (SR) to earn rewards.

  1. To bid and vote, go to “Wallet,” select “asset management,” and click on “Get Tron Power.”
  2. Freeze TRX to increase your Tron Power. To confirm the freeze, you need a minimum of 1 TRX and three days.
  3. After that, under “Governance,” click “Votes,” select “View Super Representatives,” and confirm your choice. The Super Representatives you vote for can reward you with Tron tokens.

How to Withdraw from Tronscan?

To withdraw assets such as USDT TRC20 (tronscan TRC20) using Tronscan, you must first log in to your Tronscan blockchain account. Then go to the “assets management” section and select USDT TRC20. After that, click “Withdraw” and enter the recipient’s tronscan address and amount.

Can I Recover a Lost Tron Scan Wallet?

Recovering a lost Tronscan wallet is possible if the necessary precautions were taken while creating the account. Some steps to recover a wallet include:

  1. Restore from backup: If your phone or computer is lost, but a backup of your private key or seed-phrase has been created, you can use them to restore your wallet.
  2. Security: If a password or PIN is forgotten, the wallet can be accessed using the private key or seed phrase.

Tronscan support does not store passwords or seed phrases, so it is important to back them up in advance: memorize, write them down and store them in a safe place, or save them in a secure cloud storage.
